someone.

why they don’t see more of our garments on eBay. It’s simple. We’ve got
one
seamstress. And a fair bit of the time she’s busy sewing dresses,
nighties and
diapers requested by e-mail by some very pleasant people. Or she’s out
and
about finding fabric she likes for these garments.

We mention all this partly because a while
ago I received
an e-mail asking why our dresses were more expensive than some you see
on e Bay.
So I asked Miss Sutherland. She harrumphed (she likes that noise). Then
she got
quiet for a while. Then she said that “…comparing garments for sale on
e Bay is
sometimes like comparing apples and pomegranates. There are maybe three
of any
dress we do. And like some of the other people making garments for
adult
babies, we care about the garments we make, we care about how and where
they’re
worn. This isn’t just clothing. It’s a part of someone’s wardrobe, a
part of
their lifestyle, a piece of who they are.

It's all
Satin and lace trimmed with pretty pink roses. Call it
a Christening gown or an Afternoon tea dress, however you wear
it you will feel so feminine and pretty. The
dress is made of a light cotton multicoloured eyelet lace. It's
contrasted with a gorgeous brushed pink satin peter pan collar,
waistband and sashes. The collar and sleeves are trimmed
again in soft pink lace. After
that delicate pink roses to make you feel like a princess. The
bodice is fully lined and all seams professionally finished. You can
order the same dress made to measure in a shorter version if you
wish.

3 Piece Spring dress with Bloomers
You'll be
Mommy's
little angel in this adorable dress topped with a ruffled pinafore and
matching diaper cover bloomers.
The
colours are all
Springtime with a soft yellow pinafore that ties in the back and
attach es
around the neck with Velcro. It's made from dainty yellow cotton
eyelet and has ruffles around the shoulder.
The
dress is a high
quality cotton adorned with little angels. It zips down the back for
easy on. The sleeves are trimmed in eyelet with tunneled elastic. The
skirt is a very full circle to accommodate the fluffiest petticoat.
Now for the
bloomers. The legs have the same tunneled soft elastic and trim that
you see in the sleeves for a perfect match. There's lots of room
for diapers too.
Each
piece can be worn separately making this outfit a fabulous
addition to your wardrobe.

to the the lightest, fluffiest, crinkliest dress Miss Sutherland has
ever created. It's
actually two garments in one. The
under slip is the same pink crinoline shown on our
petticoats and pinafores page. But the
top layer is a dream come true. The
organza is sheer, light and you can hear a definite swoosh as you walk. Take a
look at the close ups. We can offer other pictures too if need be. You'll
see that there is yards of lace, little pink pom poms, and ribbon
making this a very special party dress. Have

Once
upon a time,
Princess Penelope was
sorting through her armories to find the perfect polka dot party dress.
Being a
princess she had many pretty dresses to choose from. But she wanted to
find the
absolute best that she had. “Too big, too small, too close together,
too far
apart, wrong color…” she said. Then she found a dress just like this.
And being
a princess she had a person helping her to pick out a dress (actually,
picking
them up off the floor). So she asked the person what she thought.
“Perfect”,
said the person. But being a princess, people were always telling her
she was
right, including some major fashion faux pas where she went about
looking like
a royal sausage- Which is one of the downsides of being a princess I
suppose
But she trusted
this person. And so she
took her word, got dressed and went off to the party.
Some years later
Miss Sutherland figured
she was right and sewed that same dress, offered for your consideration
today.

This is a truly
classic dress that is fancy enough for most outings and tea parties at
home, but is kind of simple. It would seem that little girls do not
generally care about elegant, but this is kind of elegant in a
quiet retro way.
The pictures tell much of the story. Some of it requires closing your
eyes (no peeking) and imagining where you'd wear this and how much you
would enjoy having this in your closet.

fun Miss Sutherland decided to put together a total Maid's outfit. The dress is made of the
softest black fabric. It has the feel of suede. The insert is white satin
and it's trimmed in 3 different types of black and white lace giving it
a crisp look. The apron is black
taffeta, trimmed in lace. Next comes a leg garter
in heavy white satin. The skirt is a full
circle so you can show off your puffiest petticoat To accessorize the outfit
she found some Vintage nylons and added a pair of stretch black lace
panties. A total of 5 pieces The bodice is fully lined
and seams professionally finished. There's a 20" back zipper
for ease.
